About Burr Ridge, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The Village of Burr Ridge is a Chicago suburb with approximately 11,000 residents (as of 2017 estimates). Burr Ridge has been listed among the states wealthiest towns, and locally it is well-known for its beautiful homes. This community was previously named Harvester in honor of the International Harvester Company, which purchased over 400 acres here in 1917. The present name of Burr Ridge was given in 1961 and is derived from a group of bur oak trees located here.

There is no shortage of things to see and do in Burr Ridge. Harvester Park is situated on 37 acres and offers a playground, sports fields, trails, and fishing. There are a plethora of shops to meet every need, including groceries at Brookhaven, baked goods from Kristen’s Bakery, and high-end clothing at Chico’s and Eddie Bauer at the Village Center. Visitors who need a gift for their four-legged friend at home may want to stop at Two Boston’s, a unique pet boutique. There are also restaurants available to suit any budget or palate, including Eddie Merlot’s Capri Ristorante, Cooper’s Hawk, and Dao Sushi, Thai, & Hibachi.

Four varied seasons make up the climate of Burr Ridge, starting with a cold and snowy winter. Average daily highs stay in the mid-30s through much of the winter, and about 30 inches of total snowfall accumulates throughout the season. Burr Ridge residents in need of a new furnace should look into all of their options, including high-efficiency models. High-efficiency furnace systems with an AFUE rating of at least 90 boast a high level of performance featuring sound-absorbing material. These furnace systems provide consistent heating from room to room with minimal noise.

Weather conditions are quite different in Burr Ridge during the summer months. The area is popular for outdoor sports due to the sunny skies and warm temperatures. Average daily highs stay in the 80s from June-August, and high humidity may make it feel even warmer. Central air conditioning will keep home interiors comfortable regardless of how high thermostat readings climb outdoors.
